Sr. Technical Product Manager – Ad Code

CafeMedia is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to join our team! We empower over 2,000 premium publishers, with a collective reach of over 120MM monthly unique visitors (#16 largest comScore property), to make a living doing what they love – producing great content – while we manage the advertising for them. From food to home to news and technology and more, we represent the influential voices who make the internet a better place. As the largest exclusive publisher network, with direct access to code-on-page and underlying datasets, we have a unique capability to build innovative products that span across publishers, advertisers and consumers.

The Senior Technical Product Manager — Ad Code, will focus building out and optimizing our core ad technology stack. Specific areas include:

  • Monetization — Developing new features and strategies that will drive more revenue for our publishers
  • Performance — How can we make sure our ad delivery is as fast and efficient as possible to provide for a great user experience
  • Advertiser products — What new formats are going to drive engagement and excite advertisers? How can we package data with our ad inventory to make it more compelling?
  • Demand integrations — which demand partners should we be working with and through what integrations? How can we leverage Prebid, EB and other wrapper technolgies in the optimal way for our publishers, advertisers and end users.


  • 3+ years in product management at a digital media, ad technology firm or similar
  • Deep knowledge of web technology, advertising technology and related topics, such as JavaScript, browsers, cookies, HTTP, ad servers, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Prebid, GAM, SSPs, DSPs and related programmatic technolgies
  • Excellent data analysis and data-driven decision making skills, familiarity with applied statistical analysis
  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful ad technology software products
  • Full command of the product development life-cycle, from market analysis to problem identification, validation, solution development, go-to-market and beyond
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills and experience applying them in the development of a product roadmap
  • Expertise in agile software development methodologies and collaboration with engineering to execute a product strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Prebid and other header bidding technologies
  • Ad technology (SSPs, DSPs, prebid, identity libraries, auctions, etc.)
  • Video (players, VAST/VPAID/SIMID/etc)
