The Monitoring Application Team is responsible for building the UI for InfluxDB, the market-leading open source time-series. We provide our users with a powerful interface for exploring and visualizing their time-series data. As a member of the team, you will help to build and maintain app’s various components. This means everything from the visual query builder front-end to the backing metadata services. This role has heavy use of React.js and JavaScript to build the front-end UI components, as well as some back-end development in Go.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and maintain the InfluxDB UI
- Collaborate with other engineers on the delivery of large initiatives, engaging with stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive new product capabilities from whiteboard to production.
- Contribute to InfluxData’s open source libraries and projects
- Fix and prioritize issue picked by product
- Help develop our team’s process
What you bring to the table
- 3+ years of developing and maintaining developing and maintaining a full-stack application.
- Experience building and maintaining applications built with React.js or other JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful API design.
- Working knowledge of Git (and GitHub).
Bonus Points
- Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis, Etcd).
- Exposure to agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc).
- Experience deploying on Kubernetes.
- Experience working with distributed development teams.
- Familiarity with Go and TypeScript.
