Etsy is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Ads Optimization & Infrastructure team. This opportunity is excellent for someone with a backend focus with interest in applying Machine Learning and Infrastructure to tackle user-facing problems.
The Etsy marketplace has an abundance of one-of-a-kind items from independent artists, designers and vintage collectors from around the world. These users constitute a dynamic global community of sellers who expect Etsy to help them scale their businesses through advanced advertising capabilities targeted at drawing buyers to their shops.
Qualifications
You will do well in this role if you:
- Have experience operating within a large codebase and you know how to craft simplicity from complex systems.
- Are a backend focused engineer, and you hold a particular interest in ad-tech, machine learning, or infrastructure.
- Are an analytical thinker and you understand how to wield data to make informed decisions about your work.
- Write understandable, testable code and you have an eye towards maintainability.
- Enjoy thinking about the implications of your work on end users.
- You are excited to collaborate with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and Designers to ensure that you’re delivering impactful features.
