As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will work closely with your team to build the Cloudability UI while honing your craft.
The Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Apptio Cloudability, you must possess a burning desire to design and implement scalable, pragmatic solutions to complex problems; You will be working closely with Backend Engineers, Product Managers and Designers to iteratively improve our UI/UX, to help our customers discover new savings opportunities. You will own the optimization area in the UI. You will work across the organization with the rest of the Frontend engineers to decide the future direction of the Cloudability UI. Additionally, you will mentor members of the UI community within the Cloudability team and the rest of Apptio, to become more proficient Frontend Engineers. You will be expected to participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback and direct learning through focused questions. Above all, you will work as a member of the team to provide our customers with a great product while helping to grow a strong engineering team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in a common JavaScript browser framework (React, Backbone, Angular, etc.)
- Competent with Git and version control workflows in continuous deployment environments
- Proficient with presentation technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, SVGs
- Experienced with JavaScript testing frameworks (Jest, Enzyme, Mocha, etc.)
- Comfortable with fast moving software design and development methodologies
- Capable of contributing to technical conversation and decisions with well thought out opinions
