Ruby On Rails Engineer Hero

PartnerHero is looking for an Engineer Hero with thorough knowledge of Ruby On Rails, CSS, HTML, SQL Databases, REST APIs, server configurations, and Javascript. Teamwork and strong communication skills are also required to fulfill this position.

As an Engineer Hero, you will be working with the development team, providing them pointers of what needs to improve on the platform and application. As well as working on our internal tools to improve production processes

Requirements

Expert in Ruby, with knowledge of at least one Ruby web framework such as Rails
Strong JavaScript knowledge & experience with one or more application frameworks
Experience working with AWS
Experience working with MySQL databases
Scrum or Agile experience
A desire to solve problems, always be learning, and staying on top of the latest technologies
You know how to balance getting things done & writing clean code (and love keeping things DRY)
You have experience writing great code that works great across various devices & browsers using responsive methods
2+ years of relevant, hands-on experience working on an engineering team

Task include, but are not limited to

Developing new features on an e-commerce platform
Handle escalated support tickets that require technical code-based changes.
Maintaining the current codebase and feature set
Work with the product team, providing them pointers of what needs to improve on the platform and application.
Attend sprint meetings and weekly product syncs
Research & recommend new technologies, set best practices & coding standards.
Contribute to keeping high code quality through refactoring & automated testing.
