We are looking for an engineer at the intersection of data, platform and infrastructure to be part of a team implementing our data-driven future. This involves implementing infrastructure, back-end components in various languages (a.o., Ruby, Go, Python) and services for extracting value from our data.
Bugcrowd has one of the largest collections of reported vulnerability disclosures in the world and by unleashing this data we have the opportunity to have it drive platform and cybersecurity workflows. In our growing engineering organization, you’ll have the chance to be involved in the architecture and implementation that moves our cybersecurity platform to the next level.
We are looking for somebody with:
- Strong engineering skills in more than one language
- Understanding of data architecture, machine learning techniques and algorithms, database architecture
- Experience in ETL, data- and event buses, SQL
- Knowledge of infrastructure and cloud (preferably AWS)
We prefer candidates with:
- Interest and experience in security
- DevOps – DBs, pipelines, monitoring, deployment, etc.
- Unit tests, validation, A/B testing
- Github public repos
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working closely within small teams
- Experience with version control systems (we use Git)
- A Ph.D. or M.S. in computer science, statistics or related disciplines
- Data and machine learning experience, like:
- Natural language processing – focused on feature engineering with free-form technical language
- Statistics theory and practice
- Bayesian modeling
- Time-series modeling
- Deep learning, especially for transfer learning and NLP
- Experience with visualization and presentation of results
- Kaggle contest entries
